C. Raker and Sons, Inc. is a leading producer of grown-to-order plugs and liners in North America. Utilizing seed and vegetative propagation, Raker lists over 3,200 plant varieties available to our customers. The Raker List represents first-rate, quality plants of the best genetics available to the industry.
Boasting unmatched selection and outstanding service, Raker's also offers two discounts that apply all year - Early Order and Volume. Early Order is a 10% discount applied to any order submitted 12 weeks before the ship date. Volume Discount ranges between 8 - 33%, depending on a customer's yearly tray quantity.
Custom production is a Raker specialty. Seed items require only three trays and vegetative items require only 200 liners. In addition to grown-to-order plants, Raker routinely maintains an inventory of product available "at once."
Pricing is all-inclusive. The price found in your Raker Price List (either "delivered" or "freight-on-board") is the bottom line. Raker List price includes royalty, boxing, handling, and fuel charges.
Tags are available for all listed product. If tags are not included as part of a patent, plant tags are available in bundles of 25 (the lowest minimum in the horticulture industry).
A 50-tray order qualifies for private grower truck delivery. Simply ask and orders can be placed on Raker's patented shipping cradle system to save cardboard. Raker picks them up at a later date. Additionally, orders are delivered via FedEx, UPS, and air freight.
ORDER DEADLINES
Seed orders must be received by 5:00 p.m. Friday before the requested sow week. Vegetative cutting orders must be ordered three weeks before the requested stick week (i.e., add three weeks to the vegetative liner age).

For listed varieties, there are no order minimums. Raker does not require delivery or shipment minimums due to our unique selection of box sizes and configurations.
| RAKER | uses different PowerPlug tray sizes to meet specific production requirements. There are three standard plug tray sizes: 128, 285, and 505. There are also three standard strip trays: 18, 36(25), and 51. Strip trays are used primarily for unrooted cutting (or vegetative liner) production:Plug trays are used primarily for seed production; our 285 and 505 tray sizes are common element compliant. |
Although each tray size provides different characteristics and uses, all plug trays have the same exterior dimensions. These dimensions are referred to as the Full Tray Equivalent (FTE). The FTE makes the shipping and handling process more efficient for our customers.
